Open Borders was a summer-long concert series and art exhibition filling a 40,000 square foot converted, abandoned Borders bookstore in Thousand Oaks, CA. Open Borders benefited the arts, local communities, and teen suicide prevention programs. The festival coincided with the release of Regenerate’s internationally awarded feature “My Suicide“.
Open Borders featured Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Murs, Ozomatli, Jefferson Starship, Daniel Johnston, Ray Manzarek of The Doors, Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks, Pinback, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Klezmatics, and many more fine artists and musicians.
